TV Dad’s watchlist
Here’s what I’ve been watching or will watch this week. Some new, some returning. Quick takes—just what’s been on my screen and worth talking about:
1. Your Friends & Neighbors
Apple TV+ – Season 1, Episode 7
Last week’s episode had a wild ending and left me wondering if we’re about to lose one of my favorite characters. Jon Hamm and Amanda Peet continue to have great chemistry.
2. The Studio
Apple TV+ – Season 1, Episode 9
Episodes 7 and 8 was some of the most laughing-out-loud I’ve done at TV in a while and I needed that. Episode 9 kept the energy going with an old school Hollywood party.
3. Hacks
HBO – Season 4, Episode 7
This season started off a bit rocky, but it’s found its groove. The writing’s sharp again, and Jean Smart is still on top of her game.
4. Godfather of Harlem
MGM+ – Season 4
Forrest Whitaker is locked in. This season’s pacing is tight, and it’s keeping that gritty tone without doing too much.
5. Welcome to Wrexham
Hulu – Season 4
Back for another season, and I’m still hooked. Didn’t expect to be this invested when I first started, but here we are!
